Die Formen sind zum einen das bekannte Drachentray, das ich unten noch ein wenig marmoriert habe und zum anderen 6 so genannte "Half Pipes"...naja, halt wie ein augeschnittenes Rohr;) Hier habe ich frei-Hand-getrichtert...

I used the well known dragon tray for one half of the soap which I tried to marble a bit from the back and for the other half 6 so called half pipe shapes...here I tried a free-hand funnel technique...

Mehr Badebomben - More bath Bombs

Habe noch ein paar andere Formen ausprobiert, weil ja Valentinstag naht und Ostern auch noch ansteht, gibt es diesmal Badeherzchen und Badeostereier.
Außerdem habe ich noch mit der Zugabe von Tensiden experimentiert, da ich irgendwie auch Schaum beim Baden wollte...aber die SLS Noodles haben mich nicht überzeugt, gab kaum Schaum!

Tried different shapes of bath bombs and because Valentine's Day is coming and Easter is also not far off, I present Bath Hearts and Bath Easter Eggs.
Furthermore, I experimented a bit and added some SLS noodles to the bombs because I wanted foam in my bath tubb...but the noodles didn't convince me...not much foam!

Milchshake - Milkshake

Ein Seifchen mit gaaaanz viel Milch: Frische Ziegenmilch, Mandelmilch & Kokosmilch. Beduftet mit einer Mischung aus PÖ Cream Cheese Frosting & Basmati Rice von Brambleberry und im roten Teil etwas PÖ Strawberry and im Schwarzen etwas ÄÖ Orange 10fach.

A little soap with loooots of milk: Fresh Goatsmilk, almond milk & coconut milk. It smells of FO Cream Cheese frosting & Basmati Rice from Brambleberry with a little bit of Strawberry FO in the red part and concentrated orange EO in the black part.

Twinkle, twinkle...

Diese Seife ist eigentlich nur entstanden, weil ich ein Rezept gesucht habe, was man auch gut einem Anfänger an die Hand geben kann, der das 25er Rezept mit Kokos, Olive, Palm und Raps ein paar mal gemacht hat und jetzt mal etwas anderes will.

Das Rezept sollte aber trotzdem möglichst wenig Zutaten haben und umkompliziert sein...das ist dieses hier wirklich:

I made this soap maily because I was looking for a recipe which is easy to handle for beginners who made the "25% Recipe" (Olive, Cococut, Palm & Rapeseed) a couple of times and want to try something a little different.

Nevertheless, the recipe should not have too many incredients and should be fairly uncomplicated...and this one really is:

33% Olivenöl/ Olive oil

27% Kokosnußöl / Coconut oil

20% Sheabutter / Shea butter

20% Rapsöl / Rapeseed oil

Trotz der 20% Shea dickt der Seifenleim überhaupt nicht schnell an...im Gegenteil, denn ich habe mit einem Buch in der Hand ca. 1 Stunde vor der Seife gesessen und auf's andicken gewartet, weil ich ein schönes Toppingmuster haben wollte...danach habe ich aufgegeben und mich kleinen Wellen begnügt;)

Even though this soap contains 20% shea butter, it did not accelerate at all...quite the opposite because I was sitting with a book in hand in front of the soap for an hour or so, waiting for it to go into gel phase so I could make a nice topping...after waiting this long I gave up and made do with the little wave;)

Oben drauf kam noch eine Neuerwerbung von mir:
Lebensmittelgeeigneter Glimmer mit dem Namen "Graphite Hologram". Was soll ich sagen, ich liebe das Zeug einfach und habe mir bei Ebay erst mal noch andere Farben bestellt, besonders changierenden Glitzer, der die Farbe der jeweiligen Oberfläche annimmt...den habe ich bei Beacon Creations gesehen und war hin und weg!

Ach ja, 30 ml PÖ Red Grapefruit & Sugar Cane sind auch noch drin, ein Duft, der sich neben PÖ Green Tea und PÖ Japanese Grapefruit immer mehr zu meinem Lieblingsduft entwickelt...und andicken tut er auch nicht! Weil ich die Optik so mag, sind auch wieder 2 EL gemahlener Mohn drin und etwas Brambleberry Lab Color für die Farbe.

On top you see my latest acquisition:

Food-safe glimmer called "Graphite Hologram". What can I say, I love it and I immediately bought more glitter on EBAY especially iridesent glitter that adopts the color of the surface it's on...saw that at Beacon Creations and was immediately sold on it!

Almost forgot, I used 30ml FO Red Grapefruit & Sugar Cane, a fragrance that is becoming one of my favourites, together with FO Green Tea and FO Japanese Grapefruit...and it doesn't accelerate at all! And because I like the look of it, I added two spoons of ground poppy seeds again and colored it with Bramberry's Lab Color.

Absinthseife - AbsinthSoap

Wieder eine meiner fixen Ideen: Beim Aufräumen fiel mein Blick auf eine kleine Pfütze Absinth von Silvester....hm, man könnte doch mal verseifen...

Gedacht und dann auch gleich das Gesöff in die Mikrowelle, um den Alkohol auszukochen. (Scheint mir aber nicht so ganz gelungen, wie sich hinterher zeigte!)

Another of my crazy ideas: While cleaning a bottle of Absinth caught my eye which had a little splash of alcohol left over from New Year's Eve...hm, how could I use that in soap...

Without hesitation I put the rest of Absinth in the microwave to cook out the alcohol.

(It seems I wasn't really successful as I noticed later on)

Es sollte dann eine Schichtseife werden, habe die Fetter brav in vier Teile geteilt und die Lauge für jeden Teil separat angerührt. In die erste Schicht kam etwas Lumigreen und gemahlener Mohn, obenauf etwas Kohlepulver. Die erste Schicht hat schon extrem angedickt und konnte nur noch in die Form gespachtelt werden. Mit jeder Schicht wurde es dann schlimmer, die letzte ist dann sogar geronnen...habe mein möglichstes getan, um sie trotzdem noch oben drauf zu kleben, aber sie ist wieder abgebröckelt...das erklärt, warum ich nur halbe Seifen habe;)

Ich vermute stark, dass der Restalkohol für die extreme Reaktion des Seifenleims veranwortlich war.

It had planned a layered soap, divided the oils into four parts and prepared the lye for each part separately. The first layer was coloured with Lumigreen, with a little bit ouf ground poppy seeds thrown in and charcoal on top. The soap mixture for the first layer accelerated like crazy and I could only spoon it into my loaf mold. Each layer was worse than the one before and by the fourth layer the soap even separated. It did my utmost to glue it back onto the rest of the soap but in the end it fell off ...therefore I ended up with half a soap:-)

I think that the remaing alcohol in the absinth was responsible for soap's extreme acceleration.

Der Duft der Seife aber ist super authentisch geworden! Drin sind nur ÄÖ Anis, Fenchel, etwas Rosenholz und etwas PÖ Quitte! Das Rezept ist sehr einfach, es sind nur zu je 25% aus Kokos, Palm, Olive & Reiskeim drin.

The smell of the Absinth Soap is totally authentic though! I used EO Anise, Fennel, a little bit of Rosewood and FO Quince! The recipe is very simple as well, the soap consists of Coconut, Palm, Olive and Ricebran oil, 25% each.

Steinblumen - Stoneflowers

Und wieder einmal habe ich eine Experimentalseife gemacht...

Würdet ihr mir glauben, dass ich versuchen wollte, Seifenblumen zu sieden, die wie aus Stein aussehen?

Ok, ist gelogen, eigentlich wollte ich versuchen, mit Pflanzenkohle richtig schwarze Seife zu machen...ein voller Erfolg wie man sieht;)

Mittlerweile bin ich der Meinung, es gibt gar keine richtig schwarze Seife, die Bilder im Internet sind bestimmt alle nachbearbeitet;)

Experiment Nummer 2 war es, Labdanumharz in der Seife zu verarbeiten. Ich habe einfach ein Teelöffelchen mit den Fetten geschmolzen und hatte hinterher braune Punkte im Fett...die kann man jetzt in der Seife auch noch sehen...aber die Hauptfunktion des Harzes ist eh der Duft...macht also nichts, wenn man es noch sieht.

Made another experimental soap...

Would you believe me if I said that I tried to make saop flowers that look like stone?

Ok, that's a lie, I actually wanted to try to get really black soap with charcoal...as you can see a total success;)

I've come to the conclusion that really deep black soap does not exist and that all the pictures on the internet are photoshopped;)

My second experiment was using labdanum resin in soap. I melted a tea spoon full with the oils and ended up with lots of little brown specs in my mixture...you can still see them in the soap but I don't mind really because after all the resin's main function is to smell good.

Die Seife enthält viel Olivenöl und ist deshalb noch etwas matschig, obwohl ich sie schon am 13.01. gemacht habe. Für die Fotos mußte ich gerade auch erst noch einen Pelz Sodaasche abwaschen....deshalb auch der leichte "Wet Look"

The soap contains a high percentage of olive oil and is still a bit sticky even though I made it on the 13th. I had to wash of a veritable pelt of soda ash before I could take the pictures...that explains the slight wet look.

53g Sesamöl / Sesame Oil

153g Wasser/Water

ÜF/SF 9%

Duft / Fragrance:

1 TL /TS Labdanum

3 ml ÄÖ Atlaszeder / EO Cedarwood

2 ml ÄÖ Eukalyptus / EO Eucalyptus

1 ml ÄÖ Citronella / EO Citronella

3 ml PÖ Drachenblut / FO Dragonsblood

Die Seife rieht nur dezent, aber dafür sehr angenehm...ein schöner Duft auch für Männer!

The soap only has a very faint smell but very pleasant...a great smell for men!

Badebomben - Bath Bombs

Bisher waren meine Badebombenversuche nicht so von Erfolg gekrönt, aber am Sonntag habe ich dann Nachhilfe von Niki bekommen und siehe da, wenn man weiß wie, ist es gar nicht so schwer!

So far all my attempts to make Bath Bombs were more or less unsuccessful but on Sunday I got some private tutoring from Niki and lo and behold - it's not that difficult once you knw how it works!
